Peraton is looking for an Intelligence Planner specializing in Exercise & Training to build those scenarios for USCYBERCOM J2 at Fort Meade, MD.
In this role, you'll represent USCYBERCOM J2/JIOC across the full Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) - from early planning through execution and after-action review - developing cyber scenarios, scripting intelligence support, and ensuring that every exercise delivers the training value the command needs. Your work won't just test readiness; it will build it.
- Integrate intelligence support capabilities into combined and joint exercise and training events in accordance with JOPES
- Represent USCYBERCOM J2/JIOC at exercise Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) and Cyber Mission Area Training (CyMAT) events
- Assist exercise intelligence planners in exercise objective development, cyber scenario development, and intelligence support scripting
- Develop Cyber Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) events and implementer products
- Support exercise execution including white cell participation, assessment, and After Action Report (AAR) preparation
- Review and report on Strategic Guidance applicable to cyberspace intelligence support to exercises and training
- Assess intelligence planning and recommend production adjustments necessary to support combined and joint exercises
- Provide trip reports and summaries following exercise participation
- Demonstrate proficiency and timeliness in drafting and responding to policy and strategy inquiries
- Author and maintain Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives
- Travel approximately 25% CONUS and OCONUS; valid passport required

Required:
- Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with Polygraph
- Minimum of 12 years w/o a degree or 10years with AS/AA or 8 years with BS/BA or6 years with MS/MAor 3 years with PhD
- Working knowledge of intelligence planning concepts, exercise planning processes, and IC/DoD classification guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports and exercise products in Microsoft Office formats
- Proficiency evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information using structured analytic techniques
- Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations across disciplines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% CONUS and OCONUS; valid passport required
- Experience with planning and collaboration tools: Intellipedia, SharePoint, PAC, BICES, Chippewa, Stoneghost, Ispace, GCENext, or unclassified VTC programs
- Background in joint exercise planning, JELC processes, or cyber exercise development
- Experience developing MSEL events, exercise scenarios, or intelligence support scripts
- Familiarity with USCYBERCOM J2/JIOC exercise planning processes and battle rhythm
- Knowledge of cyberspace operations exercise frameworks and training objectives
- 12+ years of relevant experience, including work within the last 2 years
- Master's degree in a related field - or a Bachelor's degree plus 5 additional years of senior-level experience (17 years total)
Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
