Location: RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom
Contracting Organization: AFLCMC/WAQ F-15 System Program Office (SPO) – Robins AFB, GA
Supported Unit: 48th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (48 AMXS)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance
Compensation: $35.18/hour + $4.98/hour Health & Welfare

Position Overview
STi is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II (Electrical/Avionics) to support F-15 Eagle Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level maintenance operations at RAF Lakenheath, UK.
This position primarily supports Depot-Level maintenance, while also assisting Operational and Intermediate maintenance activities as required. The selected candidate will perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, troubleshoot complex electrical and avionics systems, accomplish Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), perform inspections, and help return aircraft to full mission-capable status.
Travel to other F-15 operating locations may occasionally be required in support of mission requirements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level maintenance on F-15 aircraft.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and modify electrical and avionics systems.
• Remove, install, align, operationally check, and troubleshoot avionics Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Complete Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), One-Time Inspections (OTIs), and Time Change Items (TCIs).
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and Technical Orders.
• Document maintenance actions using Air Force maintenance documentation systems.
• Support aircraft launch, recovery, inspections, and flight line operations.
• Assist with aircraft movement, engine operation, and support equipment inspections.
• Maintain aircraft logbooks, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Support structural repair determinations and coordinate depot engineering dispositions when required.
• Mentor junior mechanics and assist in leading maintenance teams during complex maintenance actions.
• Ensure compliance with Air Force maintenance standards, safety requirements, and Tool Control Program procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Successful completion of military aircraft maintenance training.
• Minimum six (6) years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent experience (within the past four years) maintaining F-15 aircraft as an Electrical/Avionics technician.
• Experience removing, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
• Ability to identify and isolate integrated avionics system malfunctions.
• Experience installing and operationally checking avionics components and LRUs.
• Ability to interpret Technical Orders, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Experience documenting maintenance actions in aircraft maintenance records.
• Ability to prioritize workload while meeting production schedules.
• Ability to work independently and within a maintenance team environment.
• Must possess normal color vision in accordance with AFI 48-123.
• Ability to obtain and maintain installation access.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience are highly desired:
• Recent F-15 Eagle flight line maintenance experience.
• U.S. Air Force fighter aircraft maintenance background.
• Depot-Level maintenance experience.
• Experience performing TCTO modifications.
• Intermediate or Depot maintenance experience on fighter aircraft.
• Experience supporting overseas Air Force maintenance operations.
• Leadership experience directing small maintenance teams.
• Experience with engineering dispositions and structural repair coordination.
• Knowledge of Tool Control Programs and hazardous material procedures.
Compensation
$35.18 per hour
