As the Personnel Security Specialist - Mid, you will provide personnel security support to a Department of Defense customer supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office mission. Bring your personnel security experience, customer focus, and attention to detail to help support security processing, documentation, compliance activities, and security administration requirements.
In this role, you will support critical personnel security programs through the management of documentation, recording, reporting, coordination, and tracking activities. You will work closely with government and contractor personnel to ensure personnel security actions are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with customer requirements. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to a high-visibility DoD mission supporting national defense priorities.
In This Role, You Will
- Support personnel for security activities, including processing support, documentation review, recordkeeping, and action tracking.
- Maintain personnel for security trackers, rosters, files, correspondence, and related program documentation.
- Coordinate with government and contractor personnel to resolve issues and support timely completion of personnel security actions.
- Support recurring data calls, status reporting, briefings, and meeting preparation related to personnel security.
- Review personnel security documentation for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with customer requirements.
- Help identify process improvements and maintain disciplined tracking of sensitive security actions.
- Support security administration activities within a secure facility environment while maintaining strict attention to detail and confidentiality.
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting personnel security, facility security, access processing, records management, or related Department of Defense security functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to work on-site in Arlington, Virginia, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Desired Skills
- Strong understanding of personnel security processes, security administration, and Department of Defense security requirements.
- Experience working in secure facilities and supporting sensitive or classified programs.
- Knowledge of Security Countermeasure environments and security compliance practices.
- Ability to manage multiple security actions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, records management, and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with government and contractor stakeholders.
- Proficiency in tracking, reporting, and maintaining personnel security data and records.
- Current active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance preferred.
- Active Top-Secret clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility/access highly preferred.
- Self-motivated team player with strong customer service skills and a continuous process improvement mindset.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Certifications
- Prior experience working in a secure facility.
- Prior experience working in a Security Countermeasure environment.
- Current and active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance preferred.
- Active Top Secret clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility/access preferred.
- Experience supporting the Department of Defense security programs and administration activities.
Clearance Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

- Active Top-Secret clearance preferred.
- Active Top-Secret clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility/access is highly preferred.
Additional Information
This position is performed on-site in Arlington, Virginia and requires attendance Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
