As an Industrial Security Specialist, you will provide industrial security support to a Department of Defense customer supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office mission. In this role, you will leverage your security expertise, attention to detail, and organizational skills to help safeguard sensitive information, support classified operations, and ensure compliance with government security requirements. You will collaborate with government and contractor personnel to support secure facility operations, maintain critical security documentation, and facilitate the successful execution of mission-critical activities.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to national defense objectives while working alongside a dedicated team supporting one of the Department of Defense's premier acquisition programs.
In This Role, You Will:
- Support industrial security activities, including security documentation, records management, compliance tracking, and coordination efforts.
- Maintain security files, visit records, access authorization documentation, and program security trackers.
- Coordinate with government and contractor personnel to support the timely completion of industrial security requirements and actions.
- Support reviews of security processes, documentation, and deliverables to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Assist with meeting coordination, action item tracking, status reporting, and recurring security data calls.
- Help identify documentation gaps, process risks, and opportunities to improve industrial security support processes.
- Support administrative processes and document management within a secure facility environment.
- Prepare reports, briefings, status updates, and tracking spreadsheets to support leadership and program requirements.
- Safeguard classified and sensitive information in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the successful execution of security operations supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office mission.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- Active Secret security clearance preferred.
- Active Top Secret clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance; current TS/SCI utilized within the last two years is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience supporting industrial security, facility security, access control, security compliance, security administration, security countermeasures, or related Department of Defense security functions.
- Master's degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Bachelor's degree plus an additional fourteen (14) years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education requirements.
- Prior experience working in a secure facility supporting classified programs and operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage sensitive records, compliance requirements, and recurring security actions.
- Experience supporting administrative processes and document management in a secure environment.
- Ability to work effectively with government personnel, military customers, and contractor teams.
- Excellent experience preparing reports, briefings, status updates, and tracking spreadsheets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on site in Arlington, Virginia, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Ability to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) as required.
Desired Skills
- Prior experience working in a Security Countermeasure environment.
- Experience supporting site activation or bed down activities.
- Familiarity with Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF), Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF), and Special Access Required (SAR) standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) and TEMPEST policies and procedures.
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 facility design, accreditation, certification, and documentation requirements.
- Experience supporting ICD 705 cradle-to-grave projects from facility planning and construction through accreditation and operational turnover.
- Experience supporting ICD 705 Design-Build-Sustainment efforts.
- Familiarity with ICD 705 design review milestones, including 35%, 65%, and 95% reviews.
- ICD 705 certification from an accredited institution preferred.
- Current and active Secret or Top Secret security clearance preferred.
Work Environment
- This position is 100% on-site.
- Must be able to work in the Arlington, Virginia office Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
- Travel up to 10% may be required.
- Ability to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) as mission requirements dictate.
- Occasional support outside normal business hours may be required based on operational needs.
