Job Description
- You will be the System Manager for the ONE-Net Network Administration and System Management (NASM) division, within the NCTS Naples NS Department, that will directly monitor the performance of military and contractor personnel.
- You will be responsible for plan, design, and integrate server systems consistent with existing or planned data center infrastructures.
- You will monitor servers, switches, and other network device status and respond to messages and warning as required. Control server operation and configuration.
- You will advise and assist customers with technical aspects of the requirements determination, documentation, and justification process.
- You will develop, consult, submit, and track configuration plans through the appropriate approval authority and oversees implementation.
- Must be a US Citizen.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

I have direct applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may be acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by 1) Directing, planning, coordinating, and organizing the infrastructure of a telecommunications network and; 2) Evaluating the quality of operations and taking corrective actions to resolve problems such as excessive failures or delays, or high operating costs and 3) Developing technical specification contract documentation to support all telephony maintenance and service requirements; to include fixed line and cellular services. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Responsible for the operation and maintenance network, support expansion, enhancement and refreshment of the network.
2. Responsible for plan, design, and integration of server systems consistent with existing or planned data center infrastructures. Monitor servers, switches, and other network device status and respond to messages and warning as required.
3. Develops, consults, submits and tracks configuration plans through the appropriate approval authority and oversees implementation.
4. Provide technical guidance to assist in preparation of documentation in support of the acquisition of services and materials.
5. Effectively manage IA posture to include timely deployment of security corrective actions, timely submission of appropriate security documentation, and maintenance of such security documentation to reflect current configurations.
In accordance with DoDI 1400.25, Volume 3005, Section 3.15, all employees newly appointed to a CES position will serve a 3-year probationary period. Permanent and term employees currently serving in a probationary period in the competitive service or a probationary or trial period in the excepted service will complete the period as prescribed in their original conditions of employment in the new CES position if they transfer without a break in service or are promoted, demoted, or reassigned to a CES position.
