has an exciting opportunity for a to support Strategic Space Communications Programs in . This position will support the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business unit.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Lead Software Engineers.

Our team builds software and hardware-based satellite simulators and emulators in support of the world's highest-performing satellite systems for U.S. government and commercial customers.

In this role you will design, implement, test, and maintain cyber security and zero-trust environment controls for system-level simulators. This is an opportunity to support multiple software-based projects in a rapid, agile CI/CD environment using modern technologies and tools. We're looking for skilled architects and developers who thrive in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams, like to try new things, and aren't afraid of a challenge.


  • Review, analyze, translate, and implement customer CyberSecurity and Zero-Trust Environment requirements for software-based simulation products
  • Architect, design, integrate, modify, test, and debug simulation software that is or will be integrated and deployed in a Zero-Trust Environment
  • Conducts cyber vulnerability analysis (CVA) for the Digital Twin Software Simulation application
  • Interfaces with a technically diverse user community and a multi-disciplinary integrated product team (i.e., Systems, Software, and Cyber Security)
  • Works with simulation team and customer to provide evidence of product's ability to meet cyber security controls
  • Performs periodic CyberSecurity compliance assessments and remediation (e.g., STIGs or RMF) to support continuous monitoring and authorization efforts
  • Works independently and collaboratively to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions to complex technical challenges
  • Designs and writes custom tools and processes to support configuration automation




This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)


  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Technology Management or Systems Engineering
  • 3+ years' experience with modern programming and scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Visual Basic
  • Experience using Git in a Linux environment
  • Experience in all aspects of design and implementation of cybersecurity controls, processes, and procedures



  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through formal qualification and deployment
  • Experience with successfully bringing products through interim authorization to test and authorization to operate (ATO)
  • Experience with implementing infrastructure and deployment environment related software/tools (e.g., containerization, message brokering, software APIs, etc.)
  • Experience with automating software builds, unit tests, and integration tests using a DevOps tool chain

Summary Pay Range for Experienced level (Level 3): USD $135,150 - $182,850

Summary Pay Range for Lead level (Level 4): USD $171,700 - $232,300
