Data Center Technician, Jr

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a to support a long-term Army program focused on secure enterprise infrastructure and mission-critical data center operations. This position is in . The will provide hands-on support for data center hardware installations, cabling, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting in a secure environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional with an active TS/SCI clearance to support mission-essential systems that directly enable national defense operations.

• Rack, unrack, install, and decommission servers, storage devices, and network equipment in a data center environment.
• Perform structured cabling, recabling, labeling, and cable management according to established standards and procedures.
• Conduct basic hardware maintenance, including replacing drives, power supplies, and other field-replaceable components.
• Verify power, network connectivity, and equipment status indicators; document and escalate issues to senior technicians as necessary.
• Follow SOPs, runbooks, change management processes, and security requirements while supporting day-to-day data center operations.

• 1-2 years of experience in IT support, hardware support, desktop support, or data center operations.
• Hands-on experience with computer hardware installation, equipment rack integration, cabling, and basic troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of basic networking concepts and the ability to identify and report connectivity or hardware issues.
• Security+ certification required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000 depending on experience
