Job Description

Summary

Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Conference/Event Security Coordinator to support security operations for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) conferences, meetings, test events, and special functions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and successful execution of domestic and international events by coordinating access control, security planning, and operational support for participants, staff, and stakeholders.

  • The ideal candidate is a proactive security professional with strong communication, planning, and coordination skills. This role offers the opportunity to support high-visibility events, collaborate with government and industry partners, and contribute directly to mission success through exceptional security and event management support.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate security support activities for conferences, meetings, test events, and special functions.


  • Collaborate with government personnel, event organizers, public affairs representatives, protocol offices, emergency responders, and other stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.


  • Develop and implement event-specific access control and security plans.


  • Coordinate staffing requirements and ensure assigned personnel are properly trained and prepared to support event operations.


  • Oversee access control activities and ensure security procedures are executed consistently and professionally.


  • Develop conference and event rosters, attendee tracking systems, and access authorization records.


  • Coordinate the creation, issuance, and management of event credentials, badges, and access passes.


  • Support participant clearance verification and Visit Authorization Request (VAR) processing activities.


  • Conduct site surveys, planning meetings, and event readiness assessments.


  • Coordinate security screening measures, access control checkpoints, and perimeter security activities.


  • Support the deployment, monitoring, and assessment of event security systems and equipment.


  • Prepare after-action reports, statistical summaries, briefings, and operational reports as required.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.


  • Active Secret clearance.


  • Must possess current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Red Cross First Aid certifications.


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. Passport.


  • Experience supporting security, access control, event management, conference coordination, or related operational activities.


  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.


  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Missile Defense Agency, or federal government events.


  • Experience with access control, visitor management, and security credentialing programs.


  • Experience coordinating conferences, meetings, exercises, or large-scale events.


  • Experience processing Visit Authorization Requests (VARs) and security clearance documentation.


  • Familiarity with security screening technologies and electronic security systems.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of event security operations, access control procedures, and visitor management practices.


  • Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.


  • Ability to manage multiple events, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.


  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement abilities.


  • Ability to work effectively with government officials, event participants, vendors, and support personnel.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database systems.


  • Ability to prepare reports, briefings, and operational documentation.


  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


  • Ability to remain professional and effective in dynamic and high-profile event environments.
