Job Description
As a Senior Network/Systems Engineer with MTSI you will design and define system architecture for new or existing systems, particularly for data transfers, cross domain solutions, and workload integrations.

The pay range for this position is $180,000/year to $230,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. Network Duties:
- Design and define system architecture for new or existing IT systems, particularly for data transfers, cross domain solutions, and workload integrations.
- Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud integration with multiple public cloud service providers.
- Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Develop and implement enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms and architectures.
- Familiarity with integration patterns and technologies (e.g., APIs, microservices, message queues, cross domain solutions).
Systems Engineering Duties:
- Supports design, interpretation, and analysis of technical solutions to complex projects.
- Leads or supports technical programs, projects, or tasks whose technical complexity requires engineering oversight.
- Ensures completion of programs, projects, or tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. Provides input to the Government customer concerning risks to performance, schedule and budget due to either proposed Subcontractor plans or Subcontractor's execution of accepted plans.
- Ensures the quality of the program, project, or task deliverables meet or exceed standards or metrics and assesses such deliverables to ensure that final deliverables will meet the warfighting purpose for which they are intended.
- Plans and performs engineering research, design development, and other engineering assignments in conformance with design, engineering, and customer specifications.
- Assists Government with technical/engineering portions of major project(s) or program(s).
- Coordinates across DoD system engineering communities to support delivery milestones.
- Tracks and advises design trades and associated cost, schedule, and technical impacts to requirements.
- Performs activities associated with system safety requirements, planning, integration, design review, airworthiness assessment, and technical risk management for mutli-domain systems,
- Assesses operations and maintenance metrics to include Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mission Availability, and System Reliability.
- Coordinates with engineering to integrate supportability requirements into development efforts.
- Applies digital engineering tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements and concept of operations
Software Specialist/ Engineering Duties:
- Understands software engineering in support of the design, development, Test & Evaluation (T&E), implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing software system.
- Understands of modem software principles including agile software design and development processes, containerized software deployment, analysis of continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines and employment of cloud-based infrastructures for new and/or existing software systems.
- Supports and understands systems acquisition, system and subsystem level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystem T&E.
- Review, develop, and update applicable program documentation for software engineering relevant requirements and support software development strategy.
- Applies an understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or related ground systems avionics capabilities to support core-engineering tasks as they relate to software engineering, software security, and cyber security.
Required:
- 15 years of relevant experience:
- With a focus on architecture design, development, or infrastructure.
- With the DoD/IC or relevant industry with no less than 5 years experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment, with at least one year of that total being within the past 5 years.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field REQUIRED
- Master's Degree preferred
Clearance Requirements:
- Candidate must have a US Top Secret SCI security clearance with SAP experience
