Job Description

TEKsystems is seeking a Logistics Analyst to support inventory management, supply chain operations, and sustainment activities for complex systems and equipment programs. This role is ideal for logistics professionals who are passionate about optimizing inventory performance, improving readiness, and driving supply chain efficiencies in a mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain inventory models and stock strategies to maximize asset availability while meeting budgetary constraints.
Determine and manage Authorized Stock Levels (ASL) and Reorder Points (ROP) to support readiness requirements while balancing cost and shelf-life risks.
Optimize inventory turnover by monitoring usage trends, demand patterns, and stock performance.
Support forecasting, material planning, and consumption analysis to achieve operational and financial objectives.
Conduct supportability and supply chain risk assessments, identifying potential material shortages and recommending mitigation strategies such as alternate sourcing, safety stock adjustments, and repair-versus-replace analysis.
Provide logistics support for procurement activities by validating material requirements and helping prioritize purchases based on sustainment needs.
Support Bills of Material (BOM) management and ensure logistics data is accurate, complete, and available for maintenance and sustainment activities.
Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of centralized inventory control processes, including development of procedures, roles, and performance metrics.
Monitor and report on key sustainment metrics, including fill rates, backorders, days of supply, and supply-related readiness impacts.
Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, maintenance, finance, and customer organizations to resolve material issues and communicate program status.
Maintain logistics records and ensure alignment between engineering configurations and supply support requirements.
Work closely with global supply chain teams and government logistics stakeholders to ensure coordinated material support and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications

Active Secret Security Clearance.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related professional or military experience, OR Master's degree and 1 year of related experience.
Experience in logistics, supply chain management, inventory planning, or material management.
Strong understanding of inventory control, forecasting, demand planning, and supply chain operations.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for material and inventory management.
Knowledge of procurement processes and Bills of Material (BOM) management.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and technical data packages.
Experience with sustainment and lifecycle support programs.
Knowledge of Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements and Government-Furnished Property (GFP) disposition processes.
Familiarity with DMSMS, obsolescence management, and supportability analysis.
Experience supporting centralized inventory control processes.
Hands-on experience with logistics and engineering systems such as Teamcenter Enterprise, ELMS/ELMA, IMDS, or ESD.
Previous experience as a Government Equipment Specialist, Logistics Manager, or similar role.
Acquisition Professional Development Program certification in Program Management and/or Acquisition Logistics.
