You will be the U-2 Avionics Field Service Representative - Level 3 for the U-2 Program at Beale Air Force Base which is responsible for sustaining the iconic high altitude reconnaissance aircraft.



As the U-2 Avionics Field Service Representative - Level 3 you will be the on site technical liaison, delivering hands on avionics support, mentorship, and problem solving for the U 2 fleet.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide expert guidance and maintenance support for electrical, avionics, electronic warfare, and data link systems.

• Mentor U.S. Air Force maintainers and conduct on the job training for U 2 avionics and environmental systems.

• Diagnose and resolve complex aircraft discrepancies on the flight line and phase dock, documenting findings in accordance with technical data.

• Coordinate with Air Force personnel on safety, compliance, and mission essential activities, including deployment preparation.

• Support U 2 flight line and phase maintenance operations as the trusted technical advisor.

Who You Are

You are an experienced avionics or aircraft technician with a deep understanding of U 2 systems and a proven ability to work in austere, mission critical environments. You bring strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting as well as Secret after the start.

Position is designated mission essential and world wide deployable and may involve worksites in austere conditions requiring location specific contingencies such as anthrax/small pox vaccinations, chemical warfare training and exercise participation and other related mobility training; may be deployed forward to another location for extended time, consistent with business and operational objectives and at the company's discretion. Ability to work with others in various settings and strengthen team effort required. May be required to live in government furnished quarters and travel by military airlift. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• Ability to accept and effectively adapt to location specific rules and guidelines related to personal safety, security, cultural awareness and acceptable behavior.

• Must comply with Lockheed Martin tax equalization policy as required.

• Demonstrated ability to meet job related physical requirements for working in assigned locations consistent with job requirements, including the ability to pass overseas physical annually for duration of assignment.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
