Position: USASOC Visitor Security Control (Non-Key Personnel)
Type: Full-time
Location: Fort Bragg, NC
Travel: Must be available for CONUS and OCONUS travel
**Contingent Upon Award**
Position Summary: The Visitor Security Control professional supports the Physical Security Section by controlling access to Special Operations Mission Training Center facilities, assisting visitors, implementing security procedures, and maintaining visitor accountability. This position serves as a primary point of contact for visitor processing, badge issuance, access control, and facility security support activities. The Visitor Security Control professional helps safeguard Government personnel, facilities, equipment, and information while ensuring visitors receive timely and professional assistance. This position directly contributes to mission readiness by maintaining a secure training and operational environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Process and control visitor access to Special Operations Mission Training Center facilities.
• Verify visitor credentials and access authorizations.
• Provide accurate directions and information to visitors and training participants.
• Assist with facility access control procedures.
• Support visitor accountability and security recordkeeping.
• Operate visitor management and security-related systems.
• Assist with badge issuance and visitor processing activities.
• Support implementation of Army physical security procedures.
• Coordinate with Government security personnel regarding visitor access matters.
• Maintain security-related records and reports.
• Provide professional customer service to all visitors and supported personnel.
• Support safeguarding of Government personnel, facilities, property, and information.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: High School diploma.
• Experience: Minimum one year of experience in physical security activities.
• Knowledge of Army physical security policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
• Strong computer skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage contractor information.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to provide accurate information and directions to visitors.
• Ability to communicate clearly with visitors and personnel.
• Completion of Defense Information System for Security training and required certifications necessary for account access.
• Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance
• Knowledge of physical security program concepts, theories, principles, and practices.
• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and resolving physical security issues.
• Maintain a Secret security clearance throughout performance.
• Comply with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual requirements.
• Complete Threat Awareness and Reporting Program training.
• Complete Anti-Terrorism Level I Awareness Training.
• Complete Operations Security Awareness Training.
• Complete Department of Defense Cyber Awareness Training when required.
• Meet installation access and identity verification requirements.
• Comply with Government force protection, security, and information protection requirements.
• Demonstrate professional communication and coordination skills necessary to interact with Headquarters staff personnel, Special Operations Forces units, Government personnel, and contractors.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform duties within office, facility, and access-control environments.
• Ability to monitor visitor access points and facility entry locations.
• Ability to use computer systems, visitor management systems, and administrative software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with visitors and personnel throughout the workday.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
