Software Developer
Contract: C5ISR
Location: Remote (Washington, DC metro candidates preferred)
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance Required
Start Date: ASAP
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to support a mission-critical C5ISR program under Leidos. This role is ideal for a developer with strong Python development experience and automation expertise using Ansible. The selected candidate will contribute to the development, automation, and maintenance of software solutions supporting complex government environments.
This is a fully remote position, although candidates located in the Washington, DC metro area are preferred.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Python.
Develop and manage infrastructure and deployment automation using Ansible.
Collaborate with engineers, system administrators, and technical teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and deployment challenges.
Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Support software integration efforts across enterprise environments.
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Active Top Secret security clearance.
Strong professional experience developing applications with Python.
Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks and automation workflows.
Experience developing and supporting applications in Linux environments.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control systems (Git preferred).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting cybersecurity or cyber operations environments.
Experience with Elastic (ELK Stack).
Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Previous experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or other federal government programs.
Candidates located in the Washington, DC metro area are preferred.
