Consulting Engineer (Data Center Networking)

Join a dynamic team working on Canadian Critical National Infrastructure and government classified environments. This role requires bilingual fluency in English and French and the ability to obtain a Canadian Government Security Clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 8+ years of experience in technical support, network engineering, or a technical consulting role.
• Experience in providing 2nd and 3rd Tier consultation/troubleshooting for complex network topologies with mixed media protocols.
• Experience with Data Center Layer 2 overlays like VXLAN, EVPN, and Layer 2 security features such as port security, MACsec, ACL, private VLANs, Layer 3 Overlay Protocols.
• Knowledge in IP internetworking, LAN Switching Protocols, IP Routing protocols, SRV6, QoS, and Multicast.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus products and solutions is highly desirable.
• Experience documenting technical problems and providing written status updates to stakeholders.

• Expert-level certification such as CCIE or equivalent relevant industry certification.
• Proficiency in software skills and automation (e.g., Python, scripting).
• Experience working with Public Sector or high-security clients.

• Provide 2nd and 3rd Tier consultation and troubleshooting for Large Enterprise customers.
• Act as a bridge to internal engineering departments by submitting bug reports and authoring serviceability requirements.
• Produce and share intellectual capital, including technical documentation and training.
• Build shared and reusable lab setups to simulate customer environments.
