Job Description
is looking for a to play a vital role in the business development process, expressly when responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), or other bid opportunities. The proposal manager's primary mission is to manage and coordinate the development of winning proposals that meet client requirements and effectively communicate TPG's value proposition. At TPG the role is a combination of business development, project management, and technical writing; however, the focus remains the same: managing the proposal process efficiently and effectively to secure new and retain existing business opportunities. The proposal manager is essentially the project manager of the proposal process-organizing, coordinating, overseeing and participating in the varied activities needed to produce a compelling, compliant proposal that enhances TPG's chances of winning a contract.

- Develop a proposal development plan, including timelines, roles, and responsibilities. Coordinate with capture managers and business development teams to understand the opportunity and key win themes.
- Oversee the collection, organization, and development of proposal content-technical sections, management approaches, past performance, pricing, and compliance documents.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams, including technical experts, pricing specialists, legal, and graphics, ensuring everyone contributes their part on schedule.
- Ensure the proposal complies with all RFP requirements, formatting standards, and submission deadlines. Conduct reviews and quality checks to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Proposal managers often coordinate and review content, may also write or edit sections to ensure clarity, persuasive language, and alignment with the company's messaging.
- Schedule and Deadline Management
- Keep the proposal development process on track, managing deadlines, review cycles, and approvals.
- Facilitate internal reviews, including color reviews, management sign-offs, and final quality checks before submission.
- Submission and Follow-up
- Ensure timely submission of the proposal and track feedback or debriefs afterward to improve future responses.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum five years of proposal management experience
- Experience managing proposal responses to the Department of State, Department of Defense, and National Institute of Health a plus
- Command of the English language with exceptional writing and editing /proofing skills, including expert level skill in Microsoft Word features for proofing and desktop publishing

- Experience in government and procurement databases (e.g., SAM.gov, FPDS, eBuy) and regulations (e.g., FAR/DFAR, SBA regulations, etc.)
