Responsibilities:
The Senior Security Engineer-Security Architect provides senior technical engineering support for client security tools, infrastructure, architecture, integrations, operations, modernization, and risk reduction. This role supports implementation, maintenance, optimization, and availability of cybersecurity systems across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
• Monitor security tools, dashboards, logs, alerts, and event queues for potential incidents.
• Engineer, implement, maintain, operate, and optimize cybersecurity tools and infrastructure.
• Support SIEM, EDR, NGFW, IDS/IPS, DLP, PAM, cloud security, WAF, and related cybersecurity technologies.
• Provide security architecture recommendations, configuration guidance, integration support, and operational improvement recommendations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, application, and infrastructure security issues.
• Support security tool patching, tuning, availability, backup, audit log review, configuration management, and maintenance documentation.
• Identify infrastructure gaps and recommend enhancements to improve visibility, resilience, and protection.
• Develop or support system administration and engineering gap reports, test analysis reports, uptime reports, tool maintenance logs, and configuration management data.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Senior experience in cybersecurity engineering, architecture, security tool administration, infrastructure security, or cloud/on-premise security operations.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-class SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, PAM, cloud security, and/or related tools.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements, secure configuration, monitoring, patching, availability management, and incident response integration.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and brief recommendations to technical and program stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Successful drug screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CISSP, CCSP, Azure/AWS security certifications, GIAC, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Splunk, Microsoft Security, or equivalent vendor certifications.
Location/Work Arrangement:
• Schedule is full-time, Monday – Friday 40-hour week, 4/10’s, or 9/80’s and may require on call or overnight shifts depending on contract needs.
• This position may be fully onsite or hybrid/remote depending on the needs of the specific contract.

Starting compensation for this role typical salary ranges between $179,401 – $211,060 annually is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
