Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a Journeyman Cyber Tool Administrator to support the management and security of SOC systems and tools. This role is responsible for maintaining the SOC tool enclave, implementing operating system and software updates and ensuring stable and secure operations. The Journeyman Cyber Tool Administrator position requires technical proficiency in system administration, troubleshooting and process automation to enhance cybersecurity operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape the growth, development and culture of an exciting and fast-growing company in the cybersecurity market.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support senior administrators in managing and securing SOC systems and tools.
  • Maintain the SOC tool enclave, ensuring system integrity and availability.
  • Implement and maintain operating systems and related software, including patching and updates.
  • Establish and apply standards for system operations in alignment with documented cyber policies.
  • Monitor system resources and troubleshoot system issues or outages.
  • Design and implement backup and recovery processes, performing data recoveries when required.
  • Automate monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment and maintenance tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure hardware and software compatibility based on specifications and operational requirements.


What you need to know:

  • Experience in operating system administration and software maintenance.
  • Familiarity with SOC toolsets and secure enclave environments.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery processes, system monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to automate processes to streamline system operations.
  • Understanding of documented cybersecurity policies and operational standards.


Must have's:

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
  • Applicants must possess an active Secret Clearance.
