Job Description
- You will lead the team to identify, distribute and communicate tasks, goals, objectives, and deadlines among team members for all areas of Human Capital (Staffing, Classification, Recruitment, and Employee/Labor Relations).
- You will monitor and report on the status and progress of work and check work in progress and reviews completed work to see that the supervisor's overall instructions have been met.
- You will keep the team appraised on progress in meeting established milestones and deadlines for completion of assignments, projects and tasks
- You will perform on-the-job training, arranging formal training and overseeing all aspects of training of team members in all areas of Human Capital, as well as team building, working in teams, and accomplishment of individual and team tasks.
- You will report to the supervisor on team and individual work accomplishments, progress and/or problems in mastering tasks and work processes, and individual and team training needs.
- You will prepare reports and maintain records, as required, and provide work-related information to the supervisor.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-04/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of Human Capital Management specifically in the areas of Federal Staffing, Classification and Employee/Labor Relations. Thorough knowledge of governing laws and regulations including Office of Personnel Management policies. Working knowledge of DCPDS and CWA automated systems. Ability to lead a team in Human Capital Managements functions. Provide guidance and training to developmental employees and teammates.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
