In this role, the Lead Subject Matter Expert will provide high-level guidance on system architecture migrations, manage key management infrastructure, enforce federal security standards, and evaluate emerging technologies for complex, high-availability enterprise environments.

This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead configuration, maintenance, and optimization for core software quality and repository tools including GitLab Enterprise, Nexus Repository Manager, SonarQube, and ACCELQ.
Deliver Tier 3 advanced technical support for critical shared infrastructure, including Key Management Infrastructure (CAKMI), Data at Rest (DAR) encryption, and 24x7x365 key management operations.
Drive research, evaluation, and prototyping of next-generation technologies, including big data analytics, caching, stateless application design, and biometric/identity resolution platforms.
Provide security engineering expertise aligned with federal standards (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, Zero Trust, PKI, digital signatures, and 5 FAM privacy/PII handling guidelines).
Develop technical materials and represent the enterprise in national/international standards bodies (OASIS) and federal data-sharing initiatives (ISE, NIEM).
Perform low-level protocol debugging across TCP/UDP layers and OSI networking stacks.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected
At least 15 years of experience in software architecture migrations and large-scale IT modernization.
Master-level fluency in multiple programming and scripting languages (Groovy, Java, Bash, PowerShell, C++, C#, T-SQL, PL/SQL).
Hands-on proficiency across both Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating environments.
Demonstrated expertise in managing GitLab Enterprise, Nexus Repository Manager, SonarQube, and ACCELQ.
Proven track record supporting diverse software development environments and rapid ad-hoc solution prototyping.
Strong understanding of TCP/UDP protocols and OSI layer network debugging.
Deep domain expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital signatures, privacy policies, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) protection per 5 FAM guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
In-depth experience with enterprise key management platforms (e.g., Thales CyberTrust Manager) and biometric/biographic identity-matching hardware and software.
Comprehensive knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), FISMA accreditation, and Zero Trust Architecture implementation in federal environments.
Prior experience working within federal IT environments.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $220,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
