We are seeking a highly qualified Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Lead to support operations at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
The Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Lead is responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance oversight of fire alarm and mass notification systems. This role serves as the technical lead for life safety projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and organizational objectives. The position provides leadership to engineering, installation, and commissioning teams while supporting project delivery from concept through closeout.
Essential Job Functions:
Inspect, service, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm and mass notification systems.
Perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on fire suppression systems, including wet-pipe sprinkler systems and kitchen extinguishing systems.
Identify hazards, deficiencies, defects, and required corrective actions.
Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with applicable NFPA standards, UFC requirements, manufacturer specifications, and local regulations.
Diagnose system malfunctions and implement corrective measures to restore operational readiness.
Develop and implement procedures to identify, track, and prevent recurring deficiencies and defective services.
Review and interpret system drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Coordinate inspections, testing, and maintenance activities with government representatives and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and corrective actions.
Support emergency response and outage restoration activities as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of mission requirements.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
NICET Certified Level III - Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Fire Protection/Life Safety Industry including:
Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
High level of knowledge & application of the National Fire Alarm Code and pertinent UFC codes.
Must be thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents.
Ability and willingness to work independently and as a team member on all aspects of fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting
Maintain NICET Level III certification for either Fire Alarms or Special Hazard systems.
