Job Description

We are seeking an Acquisition & Program Management (PM) Professional (Part Time) to provide senior-level acquisition and program management support to Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal customers.
Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.
This role provides high-impact advisory and consulting support across acquisition strategy, professional education, organizational development, and strategic planning efforts. The candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to government and industry leaders, delivering expertise in program management, acquisition education, operational improvement, and leadership development.
This is an ideal role for a senior leader seeking to contribute in a flexible, part-time capacity, providing mission-focused expertise to high-value initiatives supporting the defense acquisition workforce and operational organizations.
In this role, you will:
- Provide senior-level advisory support on DoD acquisition, program management, and organizational development initiatives
- Support development and delivery of acquisition training, executive education, and workforce development programs
- Facilitate strategic planning workshops, leadership engagements, and organizational transformation efforts
- Advise on acquisition strategy development, continuous improvement, and mission execution optimization
- Develop and deliver courses, seminars, workshops, and executive briefings across DoD functional areas
- Support cross-organizational collaboration between government, academia, and industry partners
- Provide expertise in lean processes, manufacturing operations, and cost/efficiency optimization
- Conduct research, analysis, and thought leadership in areas of acquisition policy, workforce effectiveness, and program performance
- Mentor and coach government and contractor personnel on critical thinking, leadership, and team development
- Support customer engagements as a strategic consultant on high-visibility initiatives
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An active Secret security clearance
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- 15+ years of experience across DoD acquisition, program management, or operational leadership roles
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Acquisition strategy and program execution
- Workforce development and professional education
- Organizational leadership and team development
- Strategic planning and consulting
- Experience supporting DoD acquisition organizations (e.g., USAF, DAU, or equivalent)
- Experience designing or delivering training, courses, or professional development programs
- The proven ability to engage and influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- To be able to travel 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Organizational Development, or related field
- Executive-level professional certifications (e.g., Chief Learning Officer certification)
- DAWIA certifications in Program Management, Engineering, or Acquisition fields
- Prior experience with Defense Acquisition University (DAU) or similar institutions
- Experience supporting Air Force acquisition programs or Wright-Patterson AFB organizations
- Background in lean manufacturing, production operations, or cost optimization initiatives
- Experience supporting research, publications, or acquisition thought leadership efforts
- Teaching, Facilitation, and Executive Coaching
- Research, Writing, and Policy Analysis
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership

Salary range: The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This range is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels. Actual base salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations. For roles available in multiple states, the range may vary to reflect differences in local labor markets. In addition to base salary, eligible positions may include other forms of compensation such as annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities.
