Job Description
Amentum is seeking a to join our team on to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The Fire Marshall is responsible for the oversight and administration of the Fire Prevention Office to include but not limited to Fire and Life Safety Inspections, Pre-Incident Planning, and Fire Prevention training of base populous.
The Marshal is the lead Fire Prevention Officer and performs a variety of functions including oversight of the inspection, testing and maintenance tasks to ensure proper operation of fire detection and alarm systems are being performed in accordance with NFPA, Navy Occupational Safety and Health (NAVOSH), and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) standards. The Fire Marshal reports directly to the Fire Chief.

- Supervises the Fire Prevention Inspector and Fire Alarm Technician
- Coordinates and monitors vendor services as needed
- Ensures inspection, testing and maintenance of water-based sprinkler systems are in accordance with NFPA and UFC standards
- Conducts Fire Prevention and Life Safety Inspections in residential, industrial, mercantile, and office spaces throughout the AUTEC installation
- Develops, publishes, and reviews Emergency Action Plans and Fire Bills
- Reviews engineering designs and plans of existing buildings and of new construction for NFPA code compliance
- Provides technical advice to the Fire Chief, Engineering Department and Senior Management.
- Documents inspection, maintenance, and repair activities related to fire prevention and warning systems.
- Produces and maintains reports and records and maintains data management systems as required by OPNAVINST 11320.23 series.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience with a background in Fire Protection and Prevention required.
