Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
Summary:
• Build data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python, Java, and Bash.
• Utilize Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Manage cloud deployments on AWS using Docker and Terraform.
• Implement data Lakehouse architectures with Apache Iceberg and Trino.
• Integrate AI/ML services, LLMs, and RAG pipelines.
• Perform data visualization and requirements analysis.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 8+ years
• Total Compensation: $320k+ yearly (tentative)
Job Description:
• Build complex data flows for custom applications within a small team.
• Demonstrate advanced Python programming skills and familiarity with Java.
• Apply understanding of data security, privacy, governance, and compliance principles.
• Build production end-to-end data pipelines and ETL workflows at scale leveraging Python.
• Use orchestration tools to deploy data pipelines, including configuring and updating Spark jobs.
• Containerize and deploy applications in cloud environments such as AWS.
• Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, schema design, and query optimization for complex analytical workloads.
• Leverage industry-standard tools for code control, such as Git and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC).
• Work with data catalogs, track data lineage, and handle various data formats, including geospatial data.
• Use Bash scripting for automation and data processing tasks.
• Integrate AI/ML services and models.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements, assess feasibility, and design solutions with minimal oversight.
• Utilize strong problem-solving and debugging skills for data quality issues, pipeline failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Apply experience in large-scale data migration or platform modernization efforts.
• Contribute to data engineering documentation, best practices, and design patterns.
