Washington, DC / Onsite

Blu Omega is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a federal program focused on enterprise IT support for the Congressional Budget Office's Information Resources Management & Technical Services organization. This role operates onsite in Washington, DC and is responsible for comprehensive support across modern hybrid environments. The position requires experience supporting enterprise desktop and systems administration within mission-critical federal organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide enterprise-level administration and support for macOS and Windows operating systems, including imaging, deployment, and configuration management
  • Utilize and support endpoint management platforms such as Ivanti, KACE, Microsoft Intune, and JAMF for software deployment, device management, and policy enforcement
  • Manage and troubleshoot identity and access management services, including Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory, MFA, and AWS-integrated identity solutions
  • Diagnose and resolve authentication, connectivity, and endpoint performance issues using relevant system logs and diagnostics tools
  • Coordinate incident response activities with Service Desk, Network Operations, and Cybersecurity teams for timely issue resolution
  • Perform patch management, baseline configuration, automated imaging, and troubleshoot endpoint deployment workflows
  • Support cloud and hybrid environments, focusing on AWS-hosted resources and integrations between on-premises and cloud systems
  • Apply Zero Trust security principles in daily operations and system support
  • Document technical procedures, create user guides, and mentor Level I technicians to improve overall support capability
  • Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives and vulnerability remediation efforts

Required Qualifications
  • Enterprise-level support and administration experience for macOS and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with endpoint management and automation platforms such as Ivanti, KACE, Microsoft Intune, and JAMF
  • Knowledge of identity and access management services, including Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory, MFA, and AWS integrations
  • Ability to troubleshoot authentication, connectivity, and endpoint performance issues
  • Experience working with cross-team incident response and security teams
  • Understanding of patch management, baseline configuration, imaging, and endpoint deployment workflows
  • Experience supporting AWS-hosted resources and hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security architecture principles
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to mentor team members
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (or equivalent)
  • Apple Certified IT Professional
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (or higher certification)
  • ITIL Foundation or similar service management certification
  • Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate

Compensation
Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
