Job Title: Test Engineer III
Location: Vandalia, OH, 45377
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $55.17/hr.
Shift: Flexible schedule; occasional overtime may be available but is not mandatory
***Must have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance

Summary:
Seeking a Test Engineer to support the testing, verification, and validation of advanced aerospace and defense systems. In this role, you will simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge products ranging from mission payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft and space exploration technologies.
Responsibilities:
· Develop complex test plans and procedures to verify and validate product requirements.
· Execute system- and component-level testing using industry-standard test tools.
· Support testing throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development through certification.
· Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to test new products and systems.
· Develop and improve test processes to increase efficiency, reliability, and product quality.
Physical Requirements, Working Conditions & Safety Requirements
· Frequently walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs and steps.
· Frequently repeat the same hand, arm, and finger motion many times, including finger and hand dexterity.
· Rarely lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
· Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.), fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials, and loud noises.
· Responsible for the safety or security of people or property.
· Inspects structures, equipment, or vehicles.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 5 or more years of experience
· Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
· Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
· Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
· Experience with planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
· ***Must have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance

Preferred:
· Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing.
· Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements.
· Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances.
· Experience performing certification testing for various certification organizations. (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD)
· Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
· Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.

Mgr Notes:
• Performing ground and flight tests (avg 5-8 a month)
• Level 2: 2+ years of aeronautical experience; test experience not required, but Secret clearance required
• Level 3: 6+ years of experience; test experience and Secret clearance required
• As test conductors: Brief flight crew, determine test points, establish test sequence/order, and collect data from control room located on aircraft (aircraft capacity 400+)
• Will have the opportunity to fly with pilots from school graduate program
○ Airborne testing expected 1-2 a month
○ Can participate in flight testing as long as they successfully pass required flying class level 3 qualifications
