Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design for high-performance Command and Control (C2) software solutions.
• Lead software development activities in the scaled agile methodology utilizing a DevSecOps environment. Supporting software development activities and integrating completed software components into a fully functional software system.
• Support progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program/IPT leadership.
• Perform day-to-day activities in the areas of Product Owner/Technical Leadership, Architecture, Design and Direction of software product(s)
• Support IPT by implementing a structured approach to defining and meeting a development and integration schedule alongside a rigorously managed cost baseline.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 14+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 18+ years of directly related work experience
• Requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
• 5+ years of experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems
• 3+ years of experience leading software development projects
• 3+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python
• Experience with Flight Dynamics / Orbital Analysis or Satellite Management Systems or Ground control management
Preferred kills:
• Experience as a Product Owner/Technical Lead
• Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ), and data streaming technologies (e.g., CCSDS).
• Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with various formal acceptance testing activities (e.g., Formal Qualification Test -FQT, Factory Acceptance Test - FAT, Site Acceptance Test - SAT)
• Active TS/SCI or DoD Top Secret clearance
