This role focuses on upgrading and maintaining enterprise applications, modernizing legacy software, integrating complex technology stacks, and supporting secure application deployments within highly regulated environments. - Candidates may work from , while collaborating with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to modernize and sustain enterprise government systems.
- Lead modernization and upgrade efforts for enterprise Java applications supporting government mission systems.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Java and Python applications across complex enterprise environments.
- Refactor and modernize legacy codebases to improve scalability, performance, maintainability, and security.
- Implement secure coding practices in accordance with government cybersecurity requirements.
- Upgrade, optimize, and maintain Apache Solr environments utilizing Zookeeper services.
- Perform Solr index migrations, version upgrades, and platform performance tuning.
- Deploy and maintain applications within Apache Tomcat environments.
- Integrate applications with Oracle 19c and other enterprise database platforms.
- Support directory service integrations using Apache Directory Studio.
- Design and maintain integrations with SAP Business Intelligence reporting frameworks.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and database issues across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, database, and business stakeholders to support successful deployments and upgrades.
- Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and system configuration guides.
- Participate in testing, code reviews, validation efforts, and production deployments.
- 13+ years of software development, systems engineering, or related experience.
- Expert-level experience with .
- Strong Python development experience.
- Experience supporting applications within .
- Extensive experience with , including administration, upgrades, index migration, and optimization.
- Experience administering and deploying applications using .
- Experience integrating applications with and other relational database systems.

- Pay Band: $170,000 - $200,000
