Job Description
SkyBridge Tactical is seeking an Ordnance Inventory Specialist to support Naval Special Warfare Group ONE (NSWG-1), Detachment Bahrain — a forward-based command supporting reception, staging, onward movement, and integration of deployed Naval Special Warfare forces in the CENTCOM theater. This role manages ordnance accountability, safety, and logistics for ammunition, explosives, and related components.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct and coordinate handling, storage, and ground or air shipment of ammunition, rockets, mines, and other explosive components at Detachment Bahrain and remote operating locations.
• Review, process, and analyze ordnance-related policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and evaluate their operational impact.
• Process ammunition issue and receipt documentation to maintain 100% accountability.
• Prepare schedules for transportation, storage, issuing, and receiving ammunition, including bunker/magazine assignment and sequencing.
• Process all phases of hazardous materials transportation by land, vessel, and commercial/military air, in compliance with the IMDG Code, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, DOT 49 CFR, and U.S. military regulations.
• Advise and assist the Weapons Department on ordnance accountability, safety, controls, forecasting, and movement.
• Participate in and respond to audits and inspections related to ordnance accounting and ammunition supply administration.
• Ensure hazardous waste and recyclable materials are properly identified, labeled, and disposed of within required storage limits.
• Maintain and utilize the Ordnance Information System (OIS) database, ensuring 100% accountability of assigned ammunition and providing expenditure metrics.
• Establish and maintain a Joint Munitions Command Price and Availability account supporting JCET training munitions requisitions.
Mandatory Qualifications
• Active SECRET security clearance.
• U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U.S. passport, maintained for the entire period of performance.
• Valid state driver's license; able to drive Government-owned trucks and vans.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including military-format correspondence when required.
• Ability to perform duties independently with minimal oversight and strong attention to detail.
Position-Specific Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience with the Navy Ordnance Information System (OIS).
• Minimum 5 years of direct AA&E (ammunition, explosives, and related components) experience.
• Working knowledge of NARS processing, the Ammunition Transaction Reporting (ATR) system, and NAVSUP-P 724, OP5, and DPAS (or equivalent Government property management systems).
• Willingness to comply with Bahrain SOFA theater entry/clearance requirements; mandatory Defense Base Act (DBA) insurance coverage applies.
• Candidates with less than 5 years of experience may be considered case-by-case, subject to hiring agency and COR approval.
