Job Description
The United States Space Force (USSF) Combat Forces Command (CFC) Mission Delta 8 (MD8) at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), California is searching for an Administration Manager (NH-0341-02, GS 5-11 equivalent).
Description:
As an Administration Manager, you will serve as the primary administrative authority enabling and sustaining critical space operations, satellite communications, and highly classified technologies. In this role, you will act as a multi-disciplinary administrative champion, operating with a high degree of autonomy to execute and manage vital programs across military personnel, civilian workforce management, and command operations. Rather than just processing administrative actions, you will actively architect organizational solutions and streamline operational workflows, collaborating closely with the 10 SOPS Commander, senior leadership at Space Base Delta 1, and higher headquarters to ensure our personnel are expertly supported and our mission readiness remains uncompromised. Beyond the vital national security work, this position is stationed on California's stunning Central Coast, offering an unmatched quality of life where you can balance your career with year-round Mediterranean weather, miles of pristine beaches, and world-class outdoor adventures along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway. Nestled perfectly between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, you will enjoy access to celebrated global wine regions, vibrant farm-to-table dining, and a welcoming community feel, all while being just a short trip away from major metropolitan centers.
The ideal candidate is a highly autonomous and adaptable professional equipped with deep expertise in dual military and civilian personnel management, seamlessly navigating federal and United States Space Force policies to oversee everything from civilian hiring workflows and timekeeping to military in/out-processing and leave administration. Operating as a de facto Force Support Squadron liaison, this individual independently executes critical administrative functions-such as managing performance evaluations and tracking awards/decorations-while serving as a trusted advisor to the Commander and higher headquarters. Driven by elite oral and written communication skills, they craft flawless Staff Summary Sheets and build vital relationships across all echelons of leadership. Ultimately, the successful candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, independently leading high-visibility projects and adapting fluidly to changing mission priorities using their direct, hands-on expertise with critical DoD platforms, including DTS, ATAAPS, TMT, and CMS/AFPC portals, alongside comprehensive GTC/GPC program oversight.
