Job Description
Job Title: SCA Watch Stander & Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Norfolk, VA Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") has an opening for a part time Watch Stander and Maintenance Technician to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This position will support the Military Sealift Command (MSC) providing SCIF access control. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development. Note: This is a temporary position for 3 months with the possibility of extension. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance or supervision:
• Maintain a Government provided access list of approved Construction Contractors who are authorized to access the SCIF.
• Control the access of personnel to the secure location by checking the Construction Contractors' valid DBIDS ID against the authorized access list to ensure that only authorized personnel enter the SCIF.
• Maintain a Government provided access log of approved Construction Contractors who enter the SCIF by providing them with an MSC numbered ID, annotating their name, date and time of entry as well as the date and time of exit, and collecting their MSC numbered ID upon exit.
• Ensure all MSC numbered ID's are collected at the end of every day.
• Provide the access log to the MSC POC by 1000 the next business day via e-mail.
• Verbally challenge a Construction Contractor who is not on the access list but attempts to gain access to the SCIF, and without physically impeding their access, annotate the person's physical description and immediately report the incident to the Construction Representative for action as well as immediately reporting the incident to the MSC POC.
• Work hours are Monday through Friday from 1200 until 1700.
• Watch Stander work hours are expected to end at 1530 but may vary and be extended several hours depending on the Construction Contractor's schedule.
• When not needed at the SCIF post, assist the Maintenance Technicians.
• Facilities preventative maintenance, repair, renovation, removal, and disposal.
• Perform repair and maintenance activities in a safe and effective manner using safety equipment when needed.
• Provide maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, minor landscaping, electrical, and machinery.
• Provide general repair or replacement of window coverings, chains, door hardware, wall repair, decking, exterior stairs, interior / exterior paint, tile, carpet tile, and general upkeep of facilities.
• Perform inclement weather preparation and facilities tie-downs.
• Furniture repair, upkeep, and relocation including building appliances.
• Vegetation control & removal.
• Assist with tools and equipment inventories.
• Minor facilities maintenance work including carpentry, painting, roofing, and welding.

• Personnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizens
• Personnel are required to have a current Secret clearance and be able to maintain it as well as be able to successfully clear a background investigation.
• 3+ years of experience performing general labor functions or facilities maintenance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 50 lbs.
