Overview
Our client, a leading defense and aerospace organization, is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Analyst / Data Manager to support mission-critical government programs. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at managing technical data and configuration baselines, and can effectively communicate with internal leadership and government customers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in configuration control, change management, document management, and customer deliverables while supporting high-visibility defense programs.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain configuration baselines for products, systems, and programs.
Manage hardware configuration, technical data, and change management activities.
Coordinate and facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and processes.
Track and manage:
Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
Engineering Review Boards (ERBs)
Trouble Reports (TRs)
Drawing Revision Notices (DRNs)
Maintain accurate records of configuration items, revisions, and system status.
Support delivery of technical documentation and customer-required deliverables (CDRLs/SDRLs).
Review engineering documentation, drawings, reports, and specifications for compliance and accuracy.
Conduct configuration and documentation audits to ensure contractual and technical compliance.
Track implementation of approved changes and maintain audit trails.
Support customer interactions and communications with program leadership and U.S. Space Force (USSF) stakeholders.
Manage technical data storage, retrieval, protection, and archival processes.
Perform peer reviews of classified and unclassified documentation.
Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and maintain data quality.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, project management, and program teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Active Secret Security Clearance.
5+ years of Configuration Management experience.
5+ years supporting:
Engineering Review Boards (ERBs)
Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
Change Management Processes
Customer Deliverables and Documentation
Experience with hardware configuration management and data management principles.
Strong experience utilizing:
SharePoint
Confluence
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Adobe Acrobat
TeamCenter or similar CM tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interface professionally with internal leadership and government customers.
Ability to quickly learn new tools, processes, and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DoD, Space, Aerospace, or Defense programs.
Familiarity with:
JIRA

Experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
Understanding of configuration management best practices and industry standards.
