Job Description
- You will serve as the US/UK SWS-S Principal Assistant Program Manager for the In-Service Strategic Submarine Program Office (PMS 396/SP 21).
- You will ensure OHIO Class/UK Vanguard Class submarines meet mission requirements by providing integration between Fleet and the Program Office, coordinating between operational feedback and programmatic responses and needs.
- You will be responsible for Fleet needs and ensure on-going engineering efforts will provide long-lasting solutions.
- You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyze and resolve systemic or singular technical fleet complexities (e.g., Nuclear Reactors, SSP, other engineering / in-service NAVSEA offices).
- You will sustain and maintain Ohio Class/UK Vanguard Class submarines with a focus on the Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HME) systems.
- You will identify customized solutions and brief leadership.
- You will provide inputs to Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
- You will lead and manage efforts under the Planning Yard contract by establishing and funding Technical Instructions and ensuring progress against plan.
- You will direct supervisory management responsibility for civilians and contractors assigned to your division.
- You will be responsible for the direction and supervision of a team of individuals who coordinate and execute comprehensive life-cycle logistics, configuration management, and material readiness strategies for in-service submarine platforms.

- This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
