Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work as part of an engineering team based in Lexington, KY. The team is focused primarily on modifying existing hardware and integrating modified components into various platforms based on customer specifications. Your job will be to develop component and system designs based on customer requirements and interface control documents. Your designs will comply with applicable military specifications, SAE, ANSI, ASME, and other related design and drafting standards.
You will take these design elements and work with electrical and mechanical teams to develop solutions. Upon design completion, you will be expected to support the in-house fabrication, installation, and integration of your design by providing support to the manufacturing and installation workforce as required.
5+ years of overall experience is required
4+ years of experience with 3D models is required
4+ years of engineering experience is required
Catia V5 experience is required
Experience with Mechanical design of structures, brackets, and mounts is a plus.
4+ years of engineering release is a plus
Hybrid work schedule, roughly 3 days onsite, 2 remote
