Job Description

Valiant is looking for a Joint Training Assessment Specialist to join our team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads overall assessment of EUCOM's Joint Exercise Program (JEP).
  • Assist/inform joint exercise planners as they develop exercise/training objectives.
  • Support scoring and ranking of JEP exercises and proposals.
  • Develop JEP-wide messaging on its effectiveness, accomplishments, impacts, etc.
  • Provide input to the development of the annual Commander's Training Guidance (CTG), annual readiness discrepancy assessment, and annual training assessment.
  • Assess JEP alignment (individual exercises and collectively) with current published and emerging guidance, from National level to Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff (JS), to HQ USEUCOM.
  • Guidance documents include the National Security Strategy (NSS), National Defense Strategy (NDS), Global Campaign Plans (GCPs), JTEEP Program Assessment Guidance (PAG), Theater Campaign Order (TCO), Combatant Command Campaign Plan (CCP), etc. as well as emerging direction such as Global Integration, Large Scale Global Exercise (LSGE), and ELITE CONSTELLATION. Synchronize EUCOM J7 and Component assessments of individual JEP exercises.
  • Collect metrics and measures and descriptive narrative to report to OSD and JS J7.
  • Work with exercise data manager and systems specialists (JTT, C2IE, Maven, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.




CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Active TS/SCI

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in applicable field, Master's degree preferred; military education in Operations Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of experience supporting strategic or operational assessments at U.S. military staff, including the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, or Office of the Secretary of Defense
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, JTT, C2IE, Maven, and appropriate assessment tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
