Job Description



  • You will serve as the senior financial advisor to the Commanding General, providing strategic guidance on budgeting, fiscal policy, resource management, and financial planning.
  • You will direct financial management operations, including POM, budgeting, execution, financial reporting, accounting, and compliance with DoD, Navy, and Marine Corps regulations.
  • You will lead financial policy, internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance efforts to safeguard resources, strengthen accountability, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • You will supervise the Programs and Resources Department by managing personnel, budgets, priorities, performance, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • You will represent the Command with HQMC, OSD, DFAS, the Navy, and other agencies to advocate for resources, resolve financial issues, and support strategic decisions.
  • You will oversee financial systems, accounting operations, and reporting by ensuring accurate financial statements, improving processes, and administering key financial programs.
  • You will analyze financial impacts, allocate resources, develop recommendations, and lead initiatives that improve efficiency, mission readiness, and long-term organizational performance.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.


Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: serving as the principal authority for financial management policy and accounting by interpreting and implementing defense financial regulations and statutory accounting standards; managing complex General Fund, Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF), Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), Procurement, and other appropriated funds in compliance with fiscal law and the Anti-Deficiency Act; and developing and presenting executive-level financial briefings to Flag Officers, Senior Executive Service (SES) officials, and federal oversight organizations to support strategic decision-making.
