Job Description



  • Implement and manage a comprehensive security program for USMEDDAC Keller Army Community Hospital.
  • Perform analytical, planning, advisory, operational, and evaluative work for the purpose of protecting the personnel, property, facilities, and operations of the Hospital.
  • Develop and maintain the physical security program for Keller Army Community Hospital to ensure protection of government property and employees during normal or emergency operations under maximum security conditions.
  • Serve as the Anti terrorism/Force Protection Officer by coordinating, interpreting, and providing Force Protection guidance, and policies.
  • Serve as the Supervisor of Security Forces for Keller Army Community Hospital.
  • Supervise other security personnel.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the Personnel Security Program, ensuring that the program meets all legal and mandatory regulatory requirements.





  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A pre-placement medical examination is required.
  • Position may be designated as Mission Essential.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government driver's license. Incumbent is required to utilize designated mode of transportation, generally government vehicle or privately owned vehicle, in traveling from one place to another.
  • This position requires the incumbent obtain the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
  • Gun-Ammo Access ID.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes overseeing a multi-discipline security program for an organization; analyzing various security actions in a variety of areas such as physical, personnel, and/or operational; assisting with workload distribution for subordinate employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
