Job Description



  • You will provide analysis and provide results and recommendations to management, and support long range operational and facilities support planning.
  • You will design, and conduct industrial performance analyses of business operations, methods and procedures, and/or benchmarking studies of substantive work processes or functions related to depot maintenance and maintenance management. operations.
  • You will use advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of organizational programs.
  • You will provide management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual/multi-year/long range fiscal planning, and development of annual work-plan(s).
  • You will develop and coordinate depot maintenance and maintenance management plan(s); maintain, update, and modify plans and guidelines; assist with review and implementation of policy directives.
  • You will develop or participate in contracting-out studies, development of statements of work, and/or in-house bids for comparison to contractor bids.
  • You will provide program planning assessment, evaluation, analysis, coordination and advisory services for a wide variety of complex interrelated issues regarding depot maintenance and maintenance management operations.
  • You will conduct or participate in cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs; develop lifecycle cost analyses of projects.
  • You will perform research tasks to obtain a variety of cost, schedule, and performance data; analyze data to derive relationships involving system parameters, schedule and cost variations.
  • You will assist the organization with programming, analysis, and financial reporting; evaluating program funding plans and their execution, identifying actual or potential problem areas.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.


Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: demonstrating an understanding in industrial operations for three years or greater and understanding policies pertaining to Depot level maintenance management, demonstrating an understanding of DSOR (Depot Source of Repair) and DMI (Depot Maintenance Inter-service) processes, typically evidenced by past performance in a Program Office or Depot environment.
