OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to join our product development team building next-generation Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions for U.S. Government customers. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the full application stack, with a primary focus on Python backend development while contributing to modern React-based user interfaces. You'll help build and evolve a secure, enterprise-grade ICAM platform that enables identity management, authentication, authorization, and access governance for government customers. Working in a collaborative product development environment, you'll have the opportunity to influence product direction while delivering secure, reliable, and scalable software that supports critical national missions.

As part of an agile product team, you will design, develop, and enhance secure, scalable software that supports mission-critical government environments. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, DevSecOps engineers, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Build responsive, modern user interfaces using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with external services.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following secure coding best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver product features on schedule.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing initiatives.
• Contribute to deployments and maintenance of applications in secure government environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience developing backend applications in Python.
• Experience building modern web applications using React.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure Government, or similar).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Knowledge of secure software development and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience developing software for federal or Department of Defense environments.
• Familiarity with ICAM technologies, identity federation, authentication, authorization, or zero trust architectures.
• Experience working within secure, classified, or air-gapped environments.
