Position: Advisory Consultant, Supply Analysis
Location: Alexandria, VA (On-site 5 days/week)
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience
Office/ Directorate Overview:
The Supply Directorate is responsible for providing effective supply and materiel management oversight through the development of policy, processes, and procedures. The directorate monitors end-to-end Asset Visibility in the supply chain network for continued process improvement, provides oversight and direction for the Federal Catalog, provisioning records, Defense Logistics Management Standards, and Integrated Materiel Management across the Department of Defense. The directorate oversees munitions inventory management, including asset visibility and shelf-life extension programs to help meet DoD munitions requirements. The directorate evaluates and assesses supply chain risk through the development of metrics and measurements and conducts Defense Working Capital Fund (DWCF) monitoring and evaluation to ensure the DWCF balances weapon system readiness while maintaining cash solvency.
Position Overview:
The Advisory Consultant supports the Supply Directorate in developing, maintaining, and improving supply and materiel management policies, processes, and procedures. The role applies extensive technical expertise across multiple DoD Logistics disciplines to analyze current practices, evaluate customer requirements, and propose integrated solutions that enhance Policy, oversight, and management of Class II Supply (Clothing and Individual Equipment). The analyst provides policy and process recommendations and assists DoD leaders in connecting DoD Class II into other work streams such as governance and performance measurement. The position requires expertise in policy analysis and integrated program execution to support decision-making and optimize DoD supply operations.
