Job Description
Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an AWS Windows Engineer, Lead with a Top-Secret security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Vienna, VA. The position is hybrid, 4days onsite, 1 day telework.

Kadiak, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced AWS Windows Engineer, Lead to spearhead the design, deployment, and management of our Windows-based infrastructure within the AWS cloud ecosystem. This leadership role requires a blend of deep technical expertise and the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers, driving best practices and innovation across our cloud environments.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Windows Infrastructure:
- Deploy, configure and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Administer Microsoft 365 and related services
- Perform patching, updates and vulnerability remediation
- Troubleshoot complex Windows system issues
AWS Cloud and VM services:
- Build and manage Windows workloads on AWS (EC2, RDS, FSx)
- Configure and maintain AWS Directory Service
- Implement cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation or Terraform
- Manage IAM roles, policies and security groups
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization
- Understanding of security vulnerabilities/compliance
- Develop automation using PowerShell and AWS CLI
- Familiar with VMware or virtualization platforms
Skills and Competencies:
- Microsoft certifications (MCSE, Azure Hybrid Administrator or equivalent)
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or SysOps Administrator)
- 5+ years experience in Windows engineering
- 3+ years hands-on AWS experience
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role
- PowerShell scripting and automation

- Top-Secret security clearance with SCI Poly
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or + 4 years of related experience.
