- Provide high-level strategic counsel to senior executives within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW[I&S]) regarding the oversight of sensitive operations, autonomous architectures, and geopolitical defense priorities.
- Formulate and coordinate complex legislative proposals, strategy documents, and congressional inquiries, ensuring complete alignment with statutory mandates and departmental objectives.
- Assess emerging commercial technologies and counter-unmanned systems (C-UXS) across air, ground, and maritime domains, offering data-backed recommendations to enhance the Joint Force's operational lethality and intelligence posture.
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials and staff senior-level engagements to accelerate data-driven decision-making for Under Secretary-equivalent leadership.
- Facilitate interagency coordination and policy execution to streamline intelligence sharing, reduce technical stovepipes, and optimize capability development across multiple mission stakeholders.
- Lead organizational evaluations and workflow analyses to design improved operational procedures, fostering a unified and efficient support environment for the counter-unmanned systems (C-UXS) Acquisition and Maritime Portfolio.
- Function as a strategic expert across multiple high-impact assignments, evaluating program performance and recommending major shifts to align with emerging intelligence collection requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 7+ years of experience in defense policy analysis, strategic planning, operations research, or management consulting within the Intelligence Community or Department of War.
- Significant experience advising senior military or civilian leadership (e.g., Flag Officers, Senior Executive Service) on intelligence priorities, sensitive activities, and policy development.
- Demonstrated understanding of interagency coordination, legislative analysis, and the strategic integration of emerging technologies or autonomous platforms.
- Proven ability to independently plan, lead, and execute major analytical assignments while functioning as a subject matter expert.
- Proven ability to navigate complex interagency dynamics and reduce technical stovepipes across multiple mission stakeholders.
- Experience with strategic oversight of autonomous architectures and counter-unmanned systems (C-UXS) across multi-domain operations.
- Advanced knowledge of congressional inquiries and legislative proposals within the Department of War.
- Proven ability to navigate complex interagency dynamics and reduce technical stovepipes across stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a track record of producing high-level reports and briefings for senior decision-makers.
- Active TS/SCI
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
