We are seeking a Service Operations Specialist to provide critical administrative, operational, and coordination support to the program office by assessing business and organizational needs, improving processes, and ensuring continuity across key workflows within the Superblock program office. This role leads onboarding and access coordination for resident and non-resident staff, oversees stipend administration and recurring operational tasks, supports technical system updates and server environment administration, and manages application access and user guidance. The position also serves as the Audit Assessment Coordinator and supports monthly reporting, data validation, and analysis to inform decision making and strengthen program effectiveness. This position will be in the Strategic Deterrence Directorate.

This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.

You will
  • Assesses program office business, operational, and organizational requirements, and recommends process improvements to strengthen effectiveness and continuity.
  • Leads onboarding coordination for resident and non-resident staff, including non-resident check-in, system and distribution list access, and related setup activities.
  • Oversees Superblock stipend administration and recurring operational workflows to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Coordinates RunDMC updates with technical staff, including database enhancement requests and related workflow adjustments.
  • Supports administration of highside and openside server environments, including access continuity and folder management.
  • Administers access control for applications, including RunDMC, and provides user training and procedural guidance.
  • Serves as Audit Assessment Coordinator, supporting audit readiness, documentation, tracking, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinates monthly reporting activities and collects, validates, interprets, and analyzes operational data to support decision making and program improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.




  • This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top-Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
  • Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience coordinating multiple work activities and supporting business or operational processes including implementing or improving processes.
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and applying policies, procedures, and related guidance.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and support recurring administrative and operational functions.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage several tasks at once.
  • Comprehensive organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently on complex assignments with changing priorities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard office software and business systems.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, access control, reporting, or audit coordination activities.
  • Experience working with RunDMC, TEAMS, SharePoint or similar document and workflow systems.
  • Experience providing end-user training or process demonstrations.
  • Experience supporting server management or system access coordination.

Qualifications We Desire
  • Experience coordinating stipend or certification-related administrative processes.
  • Knowledge of Superblock program office operations and administrative compliance requirements.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data for reporting and decision support.
  • Ability to coordinate projects and recurring workflows across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess requirements, identify solutions, and support implementation.

Pay Range

$113,400 - $138,888 annually

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
