Job Description
TIAG is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to set up offline enterprise services, virtualization, and infrastructure to support security compliance. Our customer's objective is to build a reliable, easily repeatable deployment process for a number of duplicate environments deployed network wide. This position is based in North Charleston, SC and requires an active Secret clearance to be considered for the position.

Key Responsibilities
- Author comprehensive PowerShell scripts and build automated Windows deployment routines (using tools like unattended setup, imaging, Sysprep, or MDT/WDS) to repeatedly stamp out identical, standardized system builds with minimal manual effort.
- Configure and stand up supporting Microsoft enterprise services from scratch in an offline environment.
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Hyper-V, utilizing Hyper-V Replicas for virtual machine redundancy and high availability.
- Install and configure Windows Server 2022 and Active Directory Domain Services, including GPOs tailored for air-gapped environments.
- Set up and configure Microsoft SQL Server to support core applications and security services.
- Set up offline Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) to manage and distribute updates without internet access.
- Configure Kiwi SyslogNG to centralize and audit security logs across the network.
- Design and configure offline backup schedules and recovery workflows using Veeam.
- Help deploy and integrate core physical security platforms (specifically Lenel OnGuard and Milestone XProtect) into the underlying virtualized Windows infrastructure.
- Apply DoD STIGs to the system architecture and prepare the technical settings required to support security authorization documentation.
- 3-6 years of experience in system administration, IT operations, or a systems engineering support role.
- Proven experience with server hardware and enterprise-level operating systems.
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting to automate configurations, paired with hands-on experience using Windows deployment tools to support repeatable builds.
- Practical experience with Windows Server 2022, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Hyper-V Replicas.
- Practical experience building Active Directory, DNS, offline WSUS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience configuring Veeam backup and recovery solutions in offline networks.
- Experience configuring Kiwi SyslogNG for centralized log aggregation.
- Experience designing systems for air-gapped, offline networks.
- Experience hardening Windows environments using STIGs.
- Understanding of the technical controls needed to support an Authority to Operate (ATO).
- At least 5 years of experience supporting ESS systems is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- CompTIA SecurityX, or CISSP
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, or equivalent Windows environment certifications.
- Hold or have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
