Job Description
TSC is seeking an in This position supports the .
• Provide systems engineering support for the development of new AEGIS and Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) baselines.
• Analyze system performance data and recommend design or performance improvements based on tactical and operational insights.
• Develop and maintain MATLAB-based tools for data processing and analysis.
• Support certification processes, flight test missions, and configuration control boards through detailed documentation and status reporting.
• Assist with operational readiness reporting and baseline certification efforts.
• Contribute to improvements in data collection methodologies and analytical tools.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics or related technical field and 5 or more years of industry or DoD/DoN experience.
• US citizenship and an active secret clearance (or higher)
• Requires a strong understanding of RADAR engineering and physics and how to optimize the detection and tracking of contacts using the SPY 6 RADAR in the AEGIS Weapons System.
• The candidate needs to be familiar with testing and development protocol as well as required documentation for program development and system/element qualification and certification.
• Experience with AEGIS Combat Systems.
• Strong background in systems engineering, test planning, and performance analysis.
• Engineering support to determine radar concepts and evaluate feasibility of integrating SPY-6 on foreign ships.
• Provide radar analysis, generate radar requirements and evaluate compliance of radar concepts.
• Develop reports and presentations to document and communicate radar concept feasibility.
• Provide engineering expertise and contribute to technical interchanges and other program planning discussions.
• Willingness and ability to travel to test and operational sites as needed.
• Position is required to be onsite 5 days per week.
• Proficient with MATLAB or equivalent for data analysis.
• Experience with SCUS, SABE, GICA, and MMSP systems.
• Familiarity with Fiber Optic Delay Line (FODL) systems.
• Previous experience supporting Navy or DoD development and test programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical findings.
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
