Job Description
- You will define project scope, objectives, resources and deliverables to mitigate risks and develop a comprehensive project plan and monitor project activities and resources until completion of project.
- You will contribute to long range plans for the acquisition, management, delivery and control of information services under the cognizance of PSNS and IMF.
- You will review, analyze, and assess IT programs for overall compliance with Federal, DOD, Department of the Navy (DON), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), and other policies.
- You will ensure policies and procedures are in place so that information systems are reliable and accessible and defends against unauthorized access to application systems and data.
- You will participate in strategic planning to support the design and implementation of streamlined processes that take full advantage of IT capabilities utilizing NAVSEA methodologies and tool sets, as required.
- You will present controversial or political observations and findings relating to the effective and efficient use of Information Technology (IT) systems, applications, and information processing to those in the subordinate command or detachment.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires rotating shift work.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- The work may require periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing in industrial spaces and lifting or carrying items up to 50lbs.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing oversight for analyzing, managing, or performing work necessary to plan, design, develop, acquire, document, test, implement, integrate, maintain, or modify systems for solving problems or accomplishing work processes by using Information Technology (IT) systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
