As the Data A nalyst , you will be responsible for conducting periodic, structured reviews of the program's data environment , evaluating data quality, completeness, classification accuracy, retention compliance, and platform hygiene. This role acts as the internal check on the governance process, providing an independent assessment of whether policies are being followed and whether the environment meets applicable compliance standards. The Data A nalyst documents findings, identifies risks, and drives remediation through the appropriate channels . In addition to auditing the data, this role serves as a steward of the platforms , assessing whether governance tooling, configurations, and access controls remain fit for purpose.
An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00

- Plan and execute structured audits of data a ssets, ingestion pipelines, classification records, meta data completeness, and retention practices ; p roduce clear, evidence-based findings reports.
- - Audit the governance configuration of the orchestration layer and, in coordination with the CHAOS Data Engineering team , the USMC DCO platforms; a ssess whether platform controls reflect current policy and identify gaps.
- - Produce compliance documentation in support of program reporting obligations; map audit findings to applicable frameworks (NIST, FISMA, or program-specific requirements) and track remediation status.
- - Identify data governance risks - including policy gaps, configuration weaknesses, access control failures, and data quality issues - and communicate them to the Governance Lead with appropriate priority .
- - Own the findings log; assign remediation actions to the appropriate team member, track progress, and verify closure ; e scalate unresolved findings to the Governance Lead.
- - Maintain the audit methodology , checklists, and schedule; ensure audit coverage evolves as the data environment grows or changes.
- Work directly with SMEs who perform data value evaluations for DCO ; t ranslate their assessments into acquisition tasks - identifying sources, standing up connections, and confirming data delivery.
- - Implement validation and quality checks at the point of ingestion; flag anomalies, schema drift, and delivery failures for the Data Governance Lead 's review.
- - Maintain current documentation of all data sources, pipeline configurations, ingestion schedules, and known issues; support onboarding of new sources efficiently.
- Must have a TS Clearance
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience
- B.S. in Computer Science or In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma plus 5 years of related experience
