Job Description

  • To resolve critical operational conflicts, the specialist designs and drafts comprehensive, heavily researched exceptions to policy and risk-acceptance packages for the Agency Director when standard DoD AT mandates clash with DTRA's scientific or operational research mission, calculating precise risk indices and detailing robust compensatory measures.
  • The incumbent serves as the senior technical advisor to ensure the integration of mandatory AT requirements into the agency's procurement and contracting processes, advising contracting officers and program managers on necessary defensive clauses for specific service and support contracts.
  • Additionally, the employee plans, develops, and delivers mandatory, agency-wide Antiterrorism Awareness training, coordinates Random Antiterrorism Measures across the directorates, and conducts executive-level security briefings for DTRA senior leaders and external law enforcement partners to ensure maximum defensive readiness
