The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a passionate, energetic, and self-driven candidate to fill an opening as an in .
This role will manage the Industrial Engineering team within the Test Operations & Engineering (TO&E) organization in support of Air Dominance, Phantom Works, and Weapons programs. TO&E supports a wide variety of testing with crucial work across all of Lab and Flight Test and collaborates frequently with BDS programs and production operations across the St. Louis area.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating a diverse group of collocated Industrial Engineers. This team focuses on improving test processes, applying lean principles to eliminate waste, and creating test schedules that drive safe and efficient test execution in a people-first culture of continuous improvement. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, transformational leadership capabilities, and a strong collaborative mindset. The selected candidate must lead using the Boeing Values and Behaviors in every interaction and situation.
- Establish operational goals for Industrial Engineering statement of work associated with technical development, implementation, analysis, and improvement activities
- Mentor, develop, and motivate employees
- Manage costs and budgetary goals, ensuring performance aligns with plans while proactively identifying risks and opportunities
- Development and implement plans, policies and procedures in alignment with business plans, strategies, goals, and objectives
- Acquire and coordinate resources for projects and processes and provides technical management of projects and leads process improvements
- Acquire and coordinate resources for technical project management of process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, business partners, peers, and direct reports
- Responsible for the safety and quality of the team's work, including hazard mitigation, corrective action, and Boeing Problem Solving Model/ Root Cause Corrective Action (BPSM/RCCA) participation
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Responsible for estimating, staffing, capital planning and financial management

- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, testing, or laboratory environment
- Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent degree
- 3+ years of experience in leading engineering teams
- Knowledge of the Boeing Production System (BPS) and Industrial Engineering core skills such as: Lean manufacturing, 5S, process improvement, cost analysis, work measurement, facility design, human factors, & system integration
- Knowledge of: Capacity & capability analysis, staffing analysis, facilities design, test system modeling, resource forecasting, standard work development, build schedule integration, ergonomic assessments, data analytics, and critical chain project management
- Experience in advising and influencing managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems
- Experience working with business partners for integrated schedules, work instructions and planning, estimating, and cost analyses
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
- Aerospace Test & Evaluation Experience
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Knowledge of planning and manufacturing execution systems
- Knowledge of Boeing's organizational structure and command media
