We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician (30084) to support our NSWC customer in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following tasks, as well as possess the following education and experience:

This role requires in-person support.

Duties:

  • Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assembly work.
  • Assemble, install, modify, and repair electrical and mechanical components in accordance with drawings, schematics, work instructions, technical manuals, and engineering documentation.
  • Fabricate and install wire harnesses, cables, connectors, terminals, and associated electrical components.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, wiring, connector installation, component replacement, and cable-routing activities.
  • Assemble and install brackets, housings, panels, mounts, fasteners, antennas, wiring, and other mechanical or electrical hardware.
  • Perform equipment disassembly, inspection, modification, reassembly, and functional testing.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, bills of material, and technical procedures.
  • Use digital multimeters, continuity testers, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment to verify proper assembly and system operation.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, precision measuring instruments, and specialized assembly equipment.
  • Identify damaged, defective, worn, or incorrectly installed components and perform or recommend corrective actions.
  • Support troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assembly issues.
  • Perform quality inspections and verify workmanship, wiring, hardware installation, torque requirements, and configuration compliance.
  • Document assembly progress, test results, discrepancies, repairs, material usage, and completed work.
  • Follow applicable safety requirements, quality procedures, configuration-control processes, and production schedules.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe assembly and work areas.

Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:
  • Six (6) years of experience in the duties listed above OR Associates degree with four (4) years of experience.
  • Experience performing electrical, electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical assembly work.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary production and technical team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electronics technology, electrical systems, electromechanical technology, avionics, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience assembling or maintaining military aviation, electronic warfare, antenna, pod, radar, communications, or other complex electronic systems.
  • Experience supporting Depot stand-up, manufacturing, production, integration, or repair operations.
  • Experience building high-volume electromechanical assemblies while meeting production schedules and quality requirements.
  • Experience with Wingtip Pods, antennas, avionics equipment, or related airborne systems.
  • Familiarity with bills of material, production travelers, work instructions, configuration management, and quality-assurance processes.
  • IPC, J-STD, 2M, or other relevant electronics assembly or repair certification.
  • Experience with continuity testing, insulation-resistance testing, functional testing, and electrical troubleshooting.

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. As such Under the SCA selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate aforementioned and a health and welfare benefit. Precise Systems is meeting that benefit through the use of a bona fide plan which includes certain insurance coverage.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
