Job Description



  • You will plan, initiate, and direct supply chain activities to ensure maximum material availability and readiness.
  • You will identify, analyze, and mitigate supply chain risks, including obsolescence.
  • You will serve as the technical liaison with government logistics agencies and commercial vendors to track order status.
  • You will conduct financial planning for spare parts procurement, repair of reparable item programs, and supply support funding.
  • You will draft budget justifications and track the execution of operations and maintenance and procurement funding.
  • You will serve as the primary liaison between local port operations teams and regional or operational commanders.
  • You will develop independent government cost estimates and detailed scopes of work for logistics, shipping, and port support services.
  • You will analyze workload projections, operational schedules, and weapon system reconfiguration plans to adjust logistics support levels.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.


In addition to the basic education requirement your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate expert program management, analytical, and communication skills to direct programs, evaluate accomplishments, analyze funding, present concepts to senior leadership, and oversee budget, finance, and contracting operations.
